An Open Book contract is a type of agreement that promotes transparency and trust between you and RBBC. By openly sharing project costs and decisions, we foster a collaborative partnership where you benefit directly from any cost savings. This approach ensures that both parties work together for the best possible outcome, creating a smoother and more successful construction experience.

SAVINGS

An Open Book contract offers the opportunity to reduce overall project costs through transparency and collaboration. While a Fixed Price Contract allows RBBC to retain any savings from better material pricing or labor-efficient strategies, an Open Book Contract ensures that those savings go directly to you, maximizing value for your project.

TRANSPARENCY

The scope of work includes detailed cost estimates that reference the stamped project plans and specifications, with a detailed budget provided as an exhibit; any changes or additions to the scope of work will require a change order, even for no-cost changes, and the process will follow the DVR method—Document, Verify, and Reconcile.
